About

Andrea D. Zanenga (b. 1995) is a documentary photographer based in Milan, Italy. He discovered photography during his studies in chemistry, gradually transforming a personal passion into a professional practice grounded in long-term visual research.

He received formal training at the WSP School in Rome, where he was awarded a scholarship for the Masterclass in Reportage under the mentorship of Fausto Podavini, Giovanni Cocco, and photo editor Rosy Santella.

He was selected among the 100 photographers for the XXXVII Eddie Adams Workshop (Jeffersonville, NY) and chosen for the New York Times Portfolio Review in 2025.

Drawn to remote and isolated environments, Andrea's work investigates the relationship between humans and the natural world, with a focus on environmental conservation and wildlife. His projects engage with fragile ecosystems, using photography as a tool to reflect on ecological responsibility and coexistence.

His work has been shortlisted for the World Report Award at the Festival of Ethical Photography (2025). He is currently developing long-term projects in Italy and the Azores Islands, exploring conservation-based storytelling in Atlantic ecosystems.
